Many people, myself included, believe that renovating a bathroom is the toughest job of all. So much function to cram into a small space — with so many expensive “live with it the rest of your life” decisions like tile choices and where to put the plumbing. So, I do a lot of stories seeking out products for remodeling and renovating midcentury bathrooms. 
And, readers (thank you! thank you, all!) send in lots of projects to showcase how they put everything together. Readers are doing a great job — case in point: Liz (above), whose bathroom generated three separate stories, all of which made my list o’ favorites for the year. Let’s take a look >>

room got a refresh — new floors, lighting, salvaged medicine cabinet — and she stencilled “wallpaper.” This bathroom is ready to go for another 60 years! |
